Ottapalam’s E-Waste Collection Drive from July 20 to July 30
The Ottapalam Municipality has launched a dedicated e-waste collection drive running from July 20 to July 30, 2025, aiming to promote responsible disposal and recycling of old electronics among residents and institutions.
What is the E-Waste Collection Drive?
Purpose:
To collect and safely recycle used and reusable electronic waste (e-waste) such as old computers, mobile phones, TVs, appliances, and more, directly from households and workplaces.
How it Works:
Authorized Haritha Karma Sena teams will visit homes and commercial establishments to collect e-waste. Eligible items are purchased from the public, giving residents an incentive to participate in the eco-friendly initiative.
Coordination:
The collection is organized under the leadership of the Ottapalam Municipality, aided by green volunteers and in line with Kerala’s state-wide campaign for scientific e-waste disposal.
