Shoranur Bus Accident: Three School Students Injured in Collision
A serious road accident in Shoranur, Palakkad district, on July 8, 2025, has once again brought road safety into sharp focus. The incident occurred around 5:30 PM when a motorcycle carrying three tenth grade students collided with a private bus, resulting in significant injuries to all three riders.
The Victims
The injured students have been identified as:
- Prince (15), Kulappulli
- Ashwin (15), Kulappulli
- Abhinav (15), Ganeshagiri, Shoranur
All three are students of KVR School, Shoranur, and were returning home together on a single bike after school.
How the Accident Happened
Police said the students lost control of their motorcycle and crashed head-on into an oncoming private bus. The impact completely destroyed the bike. Locals quickly took the injured students to a private hospital in Vaniamkulam.

- Prince suffered injuries to his head and hip.
- Ashwin sustained serious injuries to his head and leg.
- Abhinav’s injuries were less severe compared to the others.
