The revered Srirama Jyothi Yatra, part of the wider Dharmasandesha Yatra led by Kerala Marganirdeshaka Mandal sannyasis, commenced in Palakkad with spiritual fervor and public participation. The journey began on Sunday evening from the Ayyappa temple premises at Muthalamada Kamprathuchalla, marked by an inaugural discourse from Swami Krishnatmananda Saraswati.

Ceremonial Arrival and Temple Reception

The Srirama Jyothi and the revered Srirama Paduka, brought from the iconic temple in Ayodhya, reached the Palakkad district on Saturday. Enthusiastic devotees welcomed the sacred items at the district border in Kanjikode and accompanied them to several spiritual centers, namely Chinmaya Tapovana in Palakkad and Advaita Ashrama in Vettikkad.

Temple Tour and Itinerary

The yatra will visit various temple centers in the Kollengode region until September 12, then continue to Ottapalam (September 13-17), Mannarkkad (September 18-22), and the wider Palakkad area (September 23-28). The organizing secretary, Mokshadham Sreemanuunni, stated that the tour includes ritualistic ceremonies such as Sankhabhishekam (consecration with conch water) at each welcoming center. The major Dharmasandesha Yatra, steered by the sannyasis, will launch from Kasaragod on October 7; the Palakkad event will culminate with a grand reception and congregation at Kotta Maidan on October 12.
