Tragic loss: Six-year-old Aarav dies in Palakkad School Bus Accident

A tragic school bus accident in Palakkad claimed the life of a six-year-old boy named Aarav, the only son of Krishnakumar and Sreedevi from Pulasserykara, Ongallur, Pattambi. The incident occurred on the evening of July 1, 2025, in front of Aarav’s home.

Aarav, a Class 2 student at Vadanamkurissi Government LP School, was the victim of this heartbreaking accident. After returning home from school, he got down from the bus in front of his house while holding his mother’s hand. In a tragic turn of events, Aarav suddenly broke free and ran across the road, where he was struck by another school bus belonging to Pulasserykara UP School that happened to be passing by at that moment. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed first to a private hospital in Pattambi and then to another in Perinthalmanna, but despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Aarav succumbed to his injuries early the next morning. The accident occurred right before his mother’s eyes, making the loss even more devastating for the family.

The incident has deeply shocked the local community, highlighting ongoing concerns about school bus safety and the need for stricter measures to protect children during pick-up and drop-off times.
